Marc Stendera has put pen to paper on a contract extension at Eintracht Frankfurt that ties him to the club until 2020.

The 20-year-old - whose existing contract was due to expire next year - is currently sidelined with a torn cruciate ligament with no return date set.

"I'm really pleased about the contract extension and the trust Eintracht have shown in me," said Stendera. "It's a good sign after my injury and I'm really pleased that I'll be able to play at Eintracht for the next four years."

"Even though Marc still isn't available after his serious injury, we wanted to tie him to the club for the coming years and show how highly regarded he is through the extension," said sporting director Bruno Hübner. "Marc is a very talented player who is a cornerstone of our planning for the future."

Stendera has been at Eintracht since 2010, making 67 competitive appearances and scoring five goals in that time.
