Luca Toni arrived in the Bundesliga in 2007 and and became top scorer in his first season, the only Italian player to achieve the feat.

His 24 goals - the first of them coming in a 3-0 win over FC Hansa Rostock on Matchday 1 - make him the highest-scoring FC Bayern München player in his first season in Bavaria, and he ended his first season with a Bundesliga and DFB Cup winner's medal.
