Ahead of the release of the 2016/17 Bundesliga schedule on 29 June (11:00CEST/09:00GMT), we look back on some of the standout displays from players taking their Bundesliga bow.

Douglas Costa's league debut for FC Bayern München turned into a gala against Hamburger SV. The fleet-footed Brazilian was the danger man all evening long in the official season opener in 2015/16, ending the match with a goal and an outrageous outside-of-the-boot assist for Thomas Müller.

The 25-year-old, the last man to find the net on his Bundesliga Matchday 1 debut, maintained his form throughout the campaign, scoring four goals and providing a total of nine assists to help Bayern win a league and DFB Cup double.
