16:54 - Rode looking ahead with relish

Sebastian Rode is loving life at Borussia Dortmund since making the switch from FC Bayern earlier this summer. The 25-year-old midfielder had this to say after playing his part in another crisp team display in Shanghai:

"4-1 win against Man U to kick off the China Tour - strong performance, lads, let's keep it up!"

16:33 - The best is yet to come

Another display full of promise from Ousmane Dembele and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. BVB are going to be quite the force with new signings Andre Schürrle and Mario Götze and FIFA17 cover star Marco Reus thrown into the equation.

16:20 - BVB mania

Beatles Mania? What about BVB Mania?! Chants of 'BVB' still reverberating around the Shanghai Stadium. Really impressive performance from Thomas Tuchel's new-look side.

FULL-TIME! BORUSSIA DORTMUND 4-1 MAN UNITED

Dancing into the box, Emre Mor almost adds a fifth for Dortmund, but his low cross is eventually steered to safety. United push for a consolation in the closing stages, but BVB hold firm to record an impressive win. It may only have been a pre-season friendly, but Thomas Tuchel's tyros were very impressive and ran out deserved winners.

86' - BORUSSIA DORTMUND 4-1 MAN UNITED

This is another fine goal from Thomas Tuchel's side. Gonzalo Castro is afforded plenty of space and charges into it towards the box. From around 20 yards, the midfielder - falling away - hammers a right-footed shot into the top right-hand corner of Sergio Romero's goal. Unstoppable and a fine way to round off BVB's evening.

78' - BORUSSIA DORTMUND 3-1 MAN UNITED

The drinks break is over and the ball is rolling again. Marcus Rashford is caught offside immediately and Borussia Dortmund re-take control of the ball.

72' - BORUSSIA DORTMUND 3-1 MAN UNITED

The game is somewhat slower now, with the substitutes from both sides beginning to find their feet. Mikel Merino and Nuri Sahin both come close for Dortmund, but neither can make their half-chances count.

62' - BORUSSIA DORTMUND 3-1 MAN UNITED

Dortmund make seven changes, with Emre Mor, Marc Bartra and Moritz Leitner among those to come on.

59' - BORUSSIA DORTMUND 3-1 MAN UNITED

Jose Mourinho's side cut the deficit almost immediately, as Juan Mata gets in behind the BVB defence. One-on-one with Roman Weidenfeller, the Spaniard squares it and former Dortmund attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan rolls into the empty net.

57' - BORUSSIA DORTMUND 3-0 MAN UNITED

Woof, what a goal this is from Ousmane Dembele. Picking up the ball near the halfway line, he jinks past Luke Shaw, turns on the afterburners, pushes it round Marcos Rojo into the box and hammers a right-footed effort into the top left-hand corner of Sergio Romero's goal. Fine strike.

55' - BORUSSIA DORTMUND 2-0 MAN UNITED

Adnan Januzaj is preparing to come on for Manchester United. The young Belgian was on loan at BVB for part of last season.

51' - BORUSSIA DORTMUND 2-0 MAN UNITED

The second half is proceeding slower than the first so far. United centre-back Eric Bailly twice produces good blocks to deny Aubameyang, but little else is happening.

SECOND HALF!

We're back underway in Shanghai, with Dortmund boasting a two-goal cushion over Man United. Jacob Bruun Larsen replaces Felix Passlack at right-back for Thomas Tuchel's side; United make three changes.

HALF-TIME - on Twitter

HALF-TIME - BORUSSIA DORTMUND 2-0 MAN UNITED

Goals from Gonzalo Castro and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang send Dortmund into the dressing room at half-time with a comfortable 2-0 lead. Last season's Bundesliga runners-up have been a constant threat going forward, whilst giving United precious little to go on at the other end. 10/10.

42' - BORUSSIA DORTMUND 2-0 MAN UNITED

United caught out again by another probing long ball over the top for Aubameyang. The 2015 African Footballer of the Year goes for the lob, but Johnstone recovers well to clutch the ball out of the air.

40' - BORUSSIA DORTMUND 2-0 MAN UNITED

Almost a third Dortmund goal as Marcel Schmelzer tees up Aubameyang, who sends his effort marginally off target. Impressive stuff from Thomas Tuchel's side.

36' - BORUSSIA DORTMUND 2-0 MAN UNITED

PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG with a wayward acrobatic effort that strikes the hand of Antonio Valencia... the referee points to the penalty spot and Auba steps up to calmly fire BVB into a 2-0 lead. Straight down the middle - cool as you like!

30' - BORUSSIA DORTMUND 1-0 MAN UNITED

Drinks break in Shanghai. It is very humid, which might explain the lack of action. Dortmund just about on top.

19' - BORUSSIA DORTMUND 1-0 MAN UNITED

Dortmund take the lead in Shanghai! It all starts with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's fierce free-kick, which United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone does well to get something on. He's onto the follow-up from Ousmane Dembele, but is powerless to prevent GONZALO CASTRO tucking away the loose ball.

15' - BORUSSIA DORTMUND 0-0 MAN UNITED

United threaten with Memphis Depay, but Sokratis gets a crucial block in ahead of Jesse Lingard. Tentative start from both sides.

1' - KICK-OFF BORUSSIA DORTMUND 0-0 MAN UNITED

Slightly later than advertised, we're under way in Shanghai. Dortmund resplendent in black and yellow; Man United in all blue.
