Borussia Dortmund have landed safely in Shanghai as they embark on a week-long tour of China.

Following an 11 hour flight from Frankfurt, Thomas Tuchel's men arrived to a warm reception at the city's airport, with countless fans excited to see their heroes first hand.

They wasted little time in getting straight to business, with a public training session held within hours of touching down, while Tuchel also held a press conference in which he confirmed, among other things, Mario Götze's return to the club from FC Bayern München.

A second training session will be held later on Thursday, and the players will continue to live in the rhythm of European time on Friday, when they face Manchester United FC in the first game of the International Champions Cup.

As BVB's second match, against Manchester City FC, is not until Thursday 28 July, they will have plenty of opportunity to adjust their body clocks to local time between fixtures.
