Team of the Hinrunde: left midfielders

It's time to choose your 2016/17 Bundesliga Team of the Hinrunde, so pick a left midfielder from the quartet below!

Genki Haraguchi (Hertha Berlin)

Haraguchi started the season as he – and Hertha – meant to continue, with a defence-splitting pass that paved the way for their opening goal of 2016/17 against SC Freiburg. He bettered that in Ingolstadt with two assists as the Old Lady went into surprise-package mode. The Japan international may not have scored a goal himself, but his creativity has been key to Hertha's success.

Serge Gnabry (SV Werder Bremen)

A late arrival in the summer transfer window, the German winger did not take long to adapt to his new environment and with his seven goals is Bremen's top scorer so far this season. He also matched a Bundesliga record by scoring in each of his first five away games for the north German outfit, who have shown a huge reliance on a player who has taken the step up to the senior Germany national team off the back of his startling club performances.

Emil Forsberg (RB Leipzig)

No other player has created more goals than Leipzig's shooting star Emil Forsberg, who has set up eight goals for his teammates. Add the five goals he has scored himself and he is the player with the greatest goalscoring impact of any player in the Bundesliga. The Sweden international has also been something of a guarantee for his side: each time he has scored, Leipzig have won.

Ousmane Dembele (Borussia Dortmund)

Had a hand in 11 goals for BVB in the first half of the season, setting up seven and scoring four. His mazy runs have left his opponents feeling dizzy and he has unsurprisingly attempted more dribbles than any other player in the division, succeeding with more than half of them to boot. With a predator like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the team, Dembele's impact has been even greater.
