VfB Stuttgart have completed the signing of former Borussia Dortmund utility man Kevin Großkreutz from Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray AS.

The 27-year-old, who only left Dortmund in summer 2015, will wear the No.15 shirt.

Done deal! Welcome to VfB, Kevin Großkreutz!

'Bundesliga is one of the best'

"I’m really looking forward to my new job and to getting to know the whole team," Großkreutz told club website vfb.de from Die Schwaben’s winter training base in Belek, Turkey. "The Bundesliga is one of the best leagues in the world. I can’t wait to get stuck in and help VfB reach their objectives."

Großkreutz won back-to-back Bundesliga titles (2010/11 and 2011/12) as well as the 2012 DFB Cup with Dortmund and was part of the Germany side that lifted the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The Dortmund native, who has made 176 Bundesliga appearances to date and is comfortable on either side of defence or midfield, is Stuttgart’s second acquisition of the winter break following the loan signing of Ukraine international striker Artem Kravets from FC Dynamo Kiev.
