The 28-year-old USMNT international took 33 per cent of the poll, losing out to former Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Michael Bradley (43 per cent), currently of MLS outfit Toronto FC.

Johnson has been in flying form in the Bundesliga so far this season, scoring four goals - including one in the Foals’ 3-1 win over defending champions FC Bayern München on Matchday 15 - and chipping in with one assist in 12 appearances.
