- Lothar Matthäus arrives in Buenos Aires for Legends Tour.
- Presented with a sacred number 10 shirt.
- Joined forces with Oscar Ruggeri at Tag Heuer event.
Seven-time Bundesliga champion Lothar Matthäus has been out and about in the Argentinian capital to promote the league on the next leg of the Bundesliga Legends Tour.
After an action-packed stop in Los Angeles, Matthäus headed south to Buenos Aires, where he met an old colleague and adversary.
At a Tag Heuer event, he joined forces with Oscar Ruggeri, a member of the Argentina side defeated in the 1990 World Cup final by Germany. Matthäus was captain that day as he gained revenge for the 1986 final, in which he and Germany lost to Argentina…and Ruggeri.
Moving on to the FOX studios, Matthäus was guest on the daily sports news show…
…and was presented with the holy grail of Argentinian football: Maradona’s number 10 shirt. A sign of Lothar Matthäus’ and the Bundesliga’s standing across the globe.
As a seasoned pundit, Matthäus was invited to offer his expertise on the show La Llave del Gol on FOX Sports Argentina.
Alongside Diego Latorre and Ruben Capria, the Bundesliga Legend was able to provide his unique insights into the goals of the week.
