FC Ingolstadt 04 have confirmed Markus Kauczinski will take over from Ralph Hasenhüttl as their head coach next season, with Hasenhüttl moving to RB Leipzig.

The current coach of Bundesliga 2 club Karlsruher SC announced last October he would be leaving them when his contract expires at the end of the current season, with Hasenhüttl expressing his intention last week to leave Ingolstadt once the campaign ends.

Hasenhüttl, 48, successfully guided Ingolstadt to their first-ever promotion to the Bundesliga last season, and succeeded in keeping them there with three games of the season to spare. However, he declined to extend his contract beyond 2017 and expressed a desire to leave the Bavarians this summer, with Leipzig - currently second in Bundesliga 2 and a win shy of promotion - now confirming he will be taking over there.

To complete the coaching rotation, KSC have already announced Tomas Oral will be appointed first-team coach for next season.
