As the polls closed on bundesliga_de and bundesliga_EN, 39 per cent of the votes went to the Bundesliga's capital club, with Bayer 04 Leverkusen (22 per cent) tipped to finish fourth and go into the Champions League play-offs ahead of Borussia Mönchengladbach (20 per cent) and FC Schalke 04 (19 per cent).

The result will certainly please Hertha leading scorer Salomon Kalou, who recently told bundesliga.com just how much it would mean to the Old Lady to play in European football's elite club competition next term: "It would be sensational, but it's down to us. If we keep playing like this, I'm sure we’ll finish third."

Had the the interactive ballot been cast purely on bundesliga_EN, however, Leverkusen would have topped the poll. Die Werkself are currently sixth in the standings, six points behind third-in-the-table Hertha, with seven rounds of fixtures remaining.
