23:21 - Reaction

There was a sense of a job well done in the Bayern camp after the final whistle...

Full time! Bayern 5-0 Rostov

So a comfortable win for Bayern in a match that will be remembered for Joshua Kimmich's heroics. The youngster really appears to be coming of age now, having scored his first international and Bundesliga goals in the last few days. And anyone who can steal the headlines from Robert Lewandowski must be something special!

90' - Bayern 5-0 Rostov

A lovely flowing move from Bayern. Ribery picks up the ball on the left-hand edge of the penalty area and flicks inside to Bernat, who slots home first time for his maiden Champions League goal to round off a thumping victory for the Bavarians.

80' - Bayern 4-0 Rostov

Bayern are cruising and stroking the ball around at ease, all the while probing for another opening.

71' - Bayern 4-0 Rostov

Carlo Ancelotti makes his final substitution, handing Renato Sanches his first Champions League outing for the club in place of Thiago.

64' – Bayern 4-0 Rostov

Franck Ribery is now on for Douglas Costa. Shortly before that substitution, Arturo Vidal went very close to adding a fifth with a long-range effort that hit the bar.

60' – Bayern 4-0 Rostov

Kimmich again! The 21-year-old is on fire! He makes a perfectly-timed run into the box to head home Juan Bernat's in-swinging cross from the left.

53' - Bayern 3-0 Rostov

Joshua Kimmich leads a break down the right and eventually the ball goes out to Douglas Costa on the left. He drills a cross low across the face of the goal, where Kimmich charges in to poke home for his maiden Champions League goal.

51' Bayern 2-0 Rostov

Mats Hummels is seemingly still feeling the effects of that earlier injury, and has just been replaced on the pitch by Juan Bernat.

Second half! Bayern 2-0 Rostov

The match gets underway again and Bayern instantly take control!

Half-time! Bayern 2-0 Rostov

The hosts will be satisfied with their display so far in what has been a comfortable evening at the Allianz Arena.

45+2' Bayern 2-0 Rostov

A sublime finish from Thomas Müller to give Bayern some daylight. Charging into the box from the right to meet a cross from the left, the 27-year-old catches the ball on the half-volley to slot past Soslan Dzhanaev.

40' - Bayern 1-0 Rostov

Great bravery from Mats Hummels there. The defender goes for a header from a flick-on at the back post and takes a boot to the face in the process. His point-blank effort is saved for a corner.

27' - Bayern 1-0 Rostov

Bayern finally have the lead their dominance deserves. After Robert Lewandowski was pushed over in the box following a corner, the Polish striker dusts himself off to convert the enusing spot-kick.

22' - Bayern 0-0 Rostov

The hosts are still in complete control but have come no closer to a breakthrough. Joshua Kimmich tries his luck from 25 yards or so, but his fizzing effort flies just over the bar.

10' - Bayern 0-0 Rostov

The match is panning out as you might expect: Bayern have had more of the ball so far (82 per cent possession), but have not yet managed to threaten their visitors' goal.

Kick-off! Bayern 0-0 Rostov

No trouble with the weather in Munich, however, where Bayern have just kicked off their campaign.

20:29 - Gladbach match postponed

20:23 - Gladbach kick-off delayed

The Foals' match in Manchester has been delayed due to the heavy rain. Earliest kick-off time now is 21:15, according to this tweet:

20:15 - English weather

There has been some heavy rain in Manchester prior to kick-off...

19:45 - Gladbach's starting XI

Thorgan Hazard and Ibrahima Traore are on the bench despite a goal and an assist respectively last weekend.

19:32 - Bayern line-up

Here's how Bayern will start tonight's game:

19:14 - Imposing record, Part I

Here is what Gladbach are going up against this evening…

Imposing record, Part II

...but Thorgan Hazard has some pretty impressive stats of his own...

19:04 - The stage is set

The Allianz Arena in Munich looks glorious in the late afternoon sunshine as the countdown to kick-off continues.

18:56 - Dortmund bullish

"We're favourites here and want to win," said Dortmund defender Lukasz Piszczek at BVB's pre-match press conference. Click here for our full match preview.

18:35 - Bad news for Leverkusen

Leverkusen winger Karim Bellarabi has been ruled out of action until 2017 after sustaining an injury on Matchday 2. The club confirmed he will undergo an operation on his adductor muscle in Basel, Switzerland, tomorrow and then began his rehabilitation. Get well soon!

18:20 - Gladbach fans making their presence felt

There is a big Borussia gathering in Manchester city centre...

18:02 - Rostov beware

You must be a bit special when your goalscoring record is better than Gerd Müller's...

17:50 - Götze excited

Mario Götze played 71 minutes of Dortmund's defeat to Leipzig last Saturday. Will he be able to unlock the Legia Warszawa defence on Wednesday?

17:23 - Contrasting form

Bayern and Gladbach go into their respective encounters this evening on the back of very different results in the Bundesliga at the weekend. Here's how Carlo Ancelotti's charges fared away to Schalke:

Gladbach, meanwhile, took the lead against Freiburg thanks to a stunning strike from Thorgan Hazard. However, coach Andre Schubert will be hoping his side cut out the errors that led them to lose 3-1. Watch below:

16:10 - The Bundesliga vs the Manchesters

Borussia Mönchengladbach have promised to do Manchester United a favour when they face Manchester City later tonight, while Bayern are hoping to break a Champions League record held by the Red Devils. Coincidences, right!?

15:45 - Bayer battered and bruised, but in good spirits

Chicharito returned at the weekend and his broken hand buddy Kevin Volland could be in line to feature tomorrow night. I'd say fingers crossed, but that can't be comfortable for either of them!

15:10 - Bayern's pre-match update

Carlo Ancelotti is doing things a little differently this season, but will it pay off?

14:35 - Bayern confident, not cocky

Bayern have been in phenomenal form at the start of the 2016/17 season and are hoping to maintain their momentum in Europe when they play host to Russia's answer to Leicester City FC. Head coach Carlo Ancelotti has his sights set on winning a third Champions League title, but there still plenty of games to play before the final in Cardiff, starting with new-boys FC Rostov.

11:20 - Glad-back at it again!
