Thiago, who has been sidelined due to a knee injury suffered in Spain’s friendly with England on 13 November, has proven his fitness and travelled with the side ahead of their final UEFA Champions League group stage encounter with Dinamo Zagreb.
Costa still on the mend, Neuer rested
Costa, meanwhile, underwent a light training session on Tuesday afternoon for the first time since suffering a thigh injury, but head coach Pep Guardiola is keen to take precautionary measures with the Brazilian winger. The Spaniard admitted that Costa could "maybe" make an appearance before the start of the winter break, but also stressed that the club would take "no risks" with the 25-year-old.
Bayern have already clinched top spot in Champions League Group F and have decided to rest Manuel Neuer for only the second time this season with Sven Ulreich expected to make only his second start since joining from VfB Stuttgart in the summer.
