Speaking as he announced his squad during a live Facebook event, Klinsmann said of Chandler: "He's having a very good season so far. He's almost been playing as a winger in a 3-5-2 system for Frankfurt, so he deserves his place here."

In an intriguing added layer to the USA's match against Mexico, which will take place on 11 November, Chandler will go up against his Frankfurt team-mate Marco Fabian.
