Germany legend Jürgen Klinsmann has revealed that his son, Jonathan, would like to join the Bundesliga's all-star cast in the not too distant future.

Twenty-year-old Klinsmann Jnr. currently plies his trade as a goalkeeper for college outfit The California Golden Bears, but has already had trials with Bundesliga side Stuttgart - one of his father's former clubs - as well as English Premier League duo Everton and West Ham United.

"He wants to play in the Bundesliga or another top league," Klinsmann said of his shot-stopping progeny. "Obviously he has contacts in Germany, but he'll have to see what the best sporting decision is for him. He's certainly happy to jump in at the deep end."

Jonathan Klinsmann, who was born and raised in California, played every minute of the USA's FIFA Under-20 World Cup campaign in South Korea. The Stars and Stripes exited the competition at the quarter-final stage following an extra-time defeat to Venezuela.
