Highly-rated Danish forward Jacob Bruun Larsen was on fire as Borussia Dortmund's youth team recorded an emphatic 5-3 win against Real Madrid in the UEFA Youth League on Tuesday.

In the U-19 equivalent of the UEFA Champions League, in which Dortmund's first team take on Real Madrid later on Tuesday evening, the irrepressible Bruun Larsen stole the show.

"Goal for BVB's U19s, scored by Jacob Bruun Larsen."

Following the example of USA international Christian Pulisic, Bruun Larsen has long been predicted to be the next Dortmund talent set to step into the Signal Iduna Park limelight from the club’s much vaunted youth academy.

While Pulisic was preparing to take on Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. at Signal Iduna Park, Bruun Larsen was busy putting Real's U-19 side to the sword, setting up the first two goals of the game - both scored by Hüseyin Bulut - before netting from close range himself and then converting a penalty with a delightful panenka chip.

The 19-year-old has scored 31 goals and claimed 26 assists in just 49 appearances with Dortmund’s U19s since joining in January 2015. He made his Bundesliga debut against Hamburg on Matchday 5, coming on from the bench for the final seven minutes.

Swedish teenager Alexander Isak registered BVB's fifth against the Madridistas, while English teenager Jadon Sancho, named in his country's squad for the FIFA U-17 World Cup next month, struck the woodwork.
