Borussia Dortmund's Erik Durm undergoes successful hip surgery
Borussia Dortmund utility man Erik Durm has undergone surgery on a troublesome hip injury, the Ruhr club confirmed on Saturday.
The 25-year-old, who is yet to play for BVB this season, is expected to remain sidelined for the foreseeable future.
Durm has been plagued by injury troubles since making his Bundesliga debut on the opening day of the 2013/14 campaign, undergoing knee surgeries in September 2015 and again last summer.
Marc Bartra (adductor), Raphael Guerreiro, Marco Reus, Sebastian Rode, Marcel Schmelzer (all ankle) and Andre Schürrle (muscular) complete Dortmund head coach Peter Bosz's lengthy list of absentees.
