England Under-18 forward Kaylen Hinds marked his Wolfsburg debut with the only goal of the game in a pre-season friendly win over 3. Liga club Hansa Rostock on Monday.

Nineteen-year-old Hinds, a summer signing from Arsenal, expertly controlled a fine long ball from Josuha Guilavogui before calmly firing beyond Hansa goalkeeper Luis Zwick in the 41st minute.

Fellow new Wolfsburg faces William, John Anthony Brooks, Felix Uduokhai, Ignacio Camacho and Nany Dimata also featured.

"It was a tough test, but we did well for the most part," opined Wolfsburg head coach Andries Jonker after the game. "Hansa defended well, but hardly saw any of the ball. We did a good job in that respect, but we should have scored more."

Wolfsburg, who clung on to their Bundesliga status via the relegation play-off last term, will have the opportunity to hone their goal-scoring skills in a friendly against Bundesliga 2 side Dynamo Dresden on 22 July.
