Bundesliga World Tour 2017 - Follow the clubs around the globe
Asia was home to three of the Bundesliga's biggest clubs during the summer, with Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Schalke all heading East for the Bundesliga World Tour. Eintracht Frankfurt, meanwhile, visited the USA. Bayern faced Arsenal and Inter Milan, and Dortmund took on AC Milan in the International Champions Cup.
The Eagles, soaring to the West Coast of the United States, played three MLS teams in three different locations. Schalke met Turkish champions Besiktas and Italian giants Inter Milan during their time in China.

What is the Bundesliga World Tour?
With a global fanbase, the Bundesliga World Tour is a chance for die-hard fans outside of Germany to see their favourite teams in their own countries. The likes of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have been engaging fans globally for years. Trips to the United States as well as Asia, in recent years, have helped to grow the interest in the Bundesliga dramatically.
This summer was BVB's third consecutive year in Asia, for example. A part of the world that the club's influence is felt massively, and the Bundesliga clubs want to show their global fans that they are appreciated.
Bayern's first trip to China was in 2012 and in the five years that have followed, a total of 135 million fans have grown together to become the club's largest foreign supporting country.
Each Bundesliga club has gained interest and support throughout the world, and every summer, take the opportunity to go to those places around the world to show support for their fans who are unable to come to Germany every weekend.

The record Bundesliga champions were one of the first team to go on a World Tour, with legendary stars from around the world holding a place in the club's illustrious history. This summer, the likes of Thomas Müller and Robert Lewandowski were tasked with taking plenty of selfies.
Borussia Dortmund- See their World Tour page
Japan, and Asia as a whole, has become a second home for BVB in recent years. A third successive trip East shows that both the club and their global fan base hold each other closely in their hearts. In Japan, Kagawa will be the man of the hour, as well as well-known stars such as Marco Reus and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
