Incredible as it seems, the 2016/17 Bundesliga season is already drawing to a close, and as usual at the business end of a campaign, it is time to hand out the prizes. We want you to decide who is honoured by voting for the bundesliga.com Team of the Season.

Sead Kolasinac(Schalke)

One thing is for certain: from our next trio of candidates, it will be tough to choose who is left back in the dressing room.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina international has had to wait for his chance to shine in Gelsenkirchen, but this season has seized it with both feet. A club-high five assists from 42 delicious deliveries into the penalty area have been embellished by three goals, including his net-busting winner against Mainz on Matchday 25. Despite Schalke's domestic struggles, the Royal Blues still boast one of the meanest defences in the league to top off a well-rounded season for Kolasinac.

Jonas Hector (Cologne)

As solid if not quite as spectacular as in recent years, the Cologne and Germany left-back has also proven himself a versatile member of the Billy Goats' flock this season, providing assists from both defence and midfield. An ever-present bar one game for suspension, Hector has played a pivotal role in Cologne's iron-clad rearguard as they have launched their European charge this term.

Marvin Plattenhardt (Hertha Berlin)

Now 25, the Hertha man is blossoming in the capital. He might have expected a better return than just two assists from his 63 crosses, but his amazing ability to strike a mean dead ball has brought three stunning goals - most memorably his top-corner winner from a direct free-kick against Borussia Dortmund on Matchday 24 - and makes him a valuable asset to any team.
