New York - Jens Lehmann enjoyed another productive day in New York on the second day of his trip to New York as part of the Bundesliga Legends Tour 2015.

After a visit to the Manhattan offices on his first day in New York, Lehmann talked to an assembly of American journalists, made another appearance on live television and even managed to squeeze in a visit to the Manhattan offices of Bundesliga champions FC Bayern München.

Popular man

Wednesday began with a series of one-on-one interviews with selected American journalists in the conference room of Lehmann's hotel, and unsurprisingly, there was no shortage of visitors wishing to have the ear of a man who helped Germany to a FIFA World Cup semi-final in 2006 and who made close to 400 appearances in the Bundesliga between 1998 and 2010.

Then there was an opportunity for the 45-year-old to visit the offices of FC Bayern on Lexngton Avenue. In an ideal location in central Manhattan, the offices - situated on the 21st floor of the building - are flanked by the administrative hubs of some of American sport's largest brands, including Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Football league (NFL) and the National Basketball Association (NBA).

In his element

A seasoned television pundit comfortable in front of the camera, Lehmann later made an appearance on Sports Illustrated Now TV, where he was interviewed by presenter Maggie Gray about the Legends Tour, his time in the Bundesliga and his experiences of working under current USA coach Jürgen Klinsmann.

After a final interview with the Radio City Music Hall about his impressions of New York, a brief but eventful two days or so in the Big Apple came to an end as he prepared for a flight to Mexico City. With two days in the Central American mega-metropolis, followed by two more in Rio de Janeiro to accompany the opening weekend of the new Bundesliga season, there is plenty more to come from Jens Lehmann on the Bundesliga Legends Tour 2015.
