Arminia Bielefeld maintained their perfect start to the season with a third win of the campaign thanks to a 2-0 triumph over Bochum on Monday evening. Sandhausen are in second place following their 4-0 win in Dresden, moving ahead of Düsseldorf on goal difference despite Fortuna's 2-0 home victory over fellow big-hitters Kaiserslautern. Nuremberg's winning start to the campaign ended with a 2-2 draw at home to Union Berlin while Darmstadt joined them as one of five teams on seven points at the top of the table with a 3-0 defeat of St Pauli.
