Another name was added to Borussia Dortmund's lengthy injury list on Sunday as centre-back Ömer Toprak broke his nose in a 5-2 friendly win away to RW Erfurt.

Dortmund were already deprived of Mario Götze (back), Marco Reus (knee), Marcel Schmelzer (ligaments), Raphael Guerreiro (broken foot), Julian Weigl (ankle), Andre Schürrle (muscular), Erik Durm (muscular) and Emre Mor (ill), while members of the squad who played more than 45 minutes of Saturday's Supercup loss to Bayern Munich were rested.

Toprak started the match as captain alongside Neven Subotic in central defence, but had to be taken off late in the game when the injury occurred. It is not yet known how long the 28-year-old will be out of action for, but coach Peter Bosz does at least have plenty of cover in that position in the shape of Sokratis and Marc Bartra.

Dortmund went on to win the match against their third-tier opponents, with 17-year-old striker Aleksander Isak scoring four in a one-sided victory.
