Chasing a first win of the season, FC Ingolstadt 04 head coach Markus Kauczinski will almost certainly reinstate Roger to the starting line-up for the visit of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The Brazilian midfielder started the 2-0 defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach on the bench, before replacing Almog Cohen in a like-for-like change in the second half.

Kauczinski's Hoffenheim counterpart Julian Nagelsmann, meanwhile, will have to make at least one change after German forward Mark Uth tore a thigh muscle in the 2-1 home win over FC Schalke 04 on Matchday 5. Nadiem Amiri was his replacement at the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena, but Chile international Eduardo Vargas is also pushing for start. Defender Ermin Bicakcic and midfielder Kerem Demirbay should be involved after shaking off minor injuries.
