Dortmund - Following Borussia Dortmund's 3-0 home victory over Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Sunday evening, there was a euphoric mood in the BVB camp, while the visitors went home disappointed.

bundesliga.com rounds-up the best of the post-match quotes from the Signal Iduna Park.

Jonas Hofmann: “Obviously we’re delighted with the victory but we should have killed the game off earlier – maybe even in the first half. Before the match we analysed the way Leverkusen play very closely and knew what we needed to do. [On his goal] I just speculated that it might happen because the grass was wet. At first I thought he [goalkeeper Bernd Leno] would come out, but then he hesitated, and then he did come out after all. Once I was past him I just slotted the ball home. It was nice that it was the opener."

Julian Weigl: “It’s obviously a great feeling after a game like that. We gave it everything and the fans gave it everything so celebrating together is wonderful feeling and we’d like to have it as frequently as possible!”

Roman Bürki: “In contrast to our previous games I had quite a bit to deal with today. We succeeded as a team very well. We retained our focus and always believed we’d get the ball clear. At the other end of the pitch we created a lot of chances again and are very happy we converted three of them.”

Javier Hernandez: “It’s a big disappointment to lose but now we need to look forwards, learn from our mistakes and try to not repeat them in the next match. We didn’t score and we didn’t create as much as we’d have liked. We need to keep going and try to win games and keep fighting in the league."
