Borussia Dortmund’s stars are in a confident mood after another electrifying performance saw them thrash VfL Wolfsburg 5-1 away from home.

Two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and one apiece for Raphael Guerreiro, Ousmane Dembele and Lukasz Piszczek helped push the Black-and-Yellows to the top of the Bundesliga.

Thomas Tuchel’s high-flying side have knocked in 17 goals in their last three outings inside a week, starting with a 6-0 Champions League win over Legia Warszawa, which was followed by victory over SV Darmstadt 98 by the same scoreline.

“Scoring five isn’t bad!” laughed Aubameyang. “We’re very happy. We put in a good performance, even though they came back into it at the beginning of the second half. Nobody can stop us at the moment. Dembele is an exceptional player, but he can still improve.”

Defender Marcel Schmelzer was in agreement with Aubameyang, adding, "You can see that we're enjoying a football at the moment. We're happy to be playing every three days."

Schmelzer’s fellow back-four stalwart Piszczek, who got in on the act with a rare goal with his first goal since May 2014 was pleased with his unlikely contribution.

"I'm delighted to have scored again for the first time in over two and a half years. I don't get many and I even scored with a header today, so obviously I'm really happy."
