Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez has been ruled out of Bayer 04 Leverkusen’s final game of the season at home to FC Ingolstadt 04 on Saturday.
At his weekly press conference on Friday morning, head coach Roger Schmidt confirmed the Mexico international would miss out with a calf injury.
Chicharito has been a revelation in the Bundesliga since signing for Leverkusen from Manchester United FC last summer, plundering 17 goals in 28 Bundesliga appearances and 26 in 43 in all competitions. His goals have fired Bayer to a third-place finish and automatic qualification for the UEFA Champions League in 2016/17.
"Chicharito will definitely miss out tomorrow. He has a problem with his calf."
