The 27-year-old Poland international broke the deadlock early on to register his 30th league goal of the season, a number that had not been reached since Dieter Müller did so for 1. FC Köln, way back in 1976/77.

Needless to say, Lewandowski also ended the season as top scorer, five ahead of his nearest challenger Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Borussia Dortmund.
