Thomas Tuchel and his players were united in their disappointment after drawing 2-2 with 1. FC Köln, despite the result seeing BVB end the campaign undefeated at home.

Borussia Dortmund 2-2 1. FC Köln

Goals: 1-0 Castro (11'), 1-1 Modeste (26'), 1-2 Jojic (43'), 2-2 Reus (74')

Thomas Tuchel (Borussia Dortmund coach): "I am not at all satisfied. We stopped playing to our level ten days ago. We have lost our intensity and our attitude. I cannot accept this. We were keen when we were five points behind [league leaders FC Bayern München]. We must rediscover our form and our attitude before Berlin."

Sven Bender (Borussia Dortmund midfielder): "We did not play well, myself included. I was at fault for the first goal. Throughout the game, although we had a lot of possession, we were repeatedly counter-attacked and we could not show what we wanted to. We just need to pull together now, to be very focused to prepare ourselves for the final. We need to be at full-throttle and give it everything."

Anthony Modeste was on target for Köln, who have taken four points off Dortmund this season.

Marcel Schmelzer (Borussia Dortmund left-back): "This was the second game in a row in which we could not handle a low-standing opponent. We found some solutions but we could not play properly after conceding the second goal, and that leaves a bitter taste. Köln took the lead after two counter-attacks. I am glad that we at least scored two, so we kept up our unbeaten home run."

Gonzalo Castro (Borussia Dortmund midfielder): "Overall, we can not be satisfied and I cannot explain really what happened. Köln did very well. The caught us on the counter-attack. I believe they had three chances and turned them into two goals. I was committed and not looking past this game to the final next week. We were flat. Against Bayern it is a competition."

Peter Stöger (1. FC Köln coach): "We are very pleased. We knew how hard it would be. We knew what an extraordinary team BVB are."
