Bayern's Martinez in race against time to be fit for DFB Cup final
FC Bayern München defensive specialist Javi Martinez sat out the 2015/16 Bundesliga champions' title celebrations due to injury.
The Spain international picked up an ankle knock in training on Thursday and has spent the last two days undergoing intensive treatment in a bid to be fit for the DFB Cup final against Borussia Dortmund on 21 May.
Martinez has made 27 appearances in all competitions in 2015/16, helping Bayern win a record fourth successive Bundesliga title.
