That much was abundantly clear in the wake of Matchday 33. FC Bayern München celebrated winning a record 25th Bundesliga title; 1. FSV Mainz 05 rejoiced in booking their place in European competition, and promoted side SV Darmstadt 98 took to the streets after escaping relegation and guaranteeing themselves another season in the top flight.
