Jaroslav Drobny of relegation-threatened Hamburger SV held his nerve and Claudio Pizarro's penalty to secure his side a massive three points in the battle to avoid the drop on Matchday 31.

The veteran Czech goalkeeper only featured because of suspension to Rene Adler, but the ban for HSV's first-choice custodian proved a blessing in disguise as his understudy shone early in the second half, halting Pizarro's spot-kick to help preserve the hosts' 2-0 lead.

Droby was later beaten by Anthony Ujah, but his penalty save proved decisive in giving Bruno Labbadia's side a win that has all but ensured as the only side to have competed in every Bundesliga campaign.
