Dieter Hecking has no new injury or suspensions concerns from Saturday’s game at Frankfurt as his Foals look to make ground on European rivals Hertha.

Captain Lars Stindl and Thorgan Hazard both returned at Eintracht, and Ibrahima Traore is also back in training for Gladbach. USMNT international Fabian Johnson remains a doubt with a thigh injury sustained before the international break.

Hertha may have had an extra day to recover and prepare for this match, but coach Pal Dardai is faced with a selection headache for this trip to Mönchengladbach. Captain Vedad Ibisevic is suspended and first-choice left-back Marvin Plattenhardt missed the game against Hoffenheim and may also be absent for this match. His replacement Maximilian Mittelstädt is now also suspended following his sending-off against TSG. With right-back Mitchell Weiser also injured, Dardai will likely have to deploy a makeshift left-back or look at a change of formation.
