Bayern Munich goalkeeper Sven Ulreich has delighted a terminally ill young fan by giving him the chance to see the Bundesliga leaders’ visit to Hoffenheim in person.

Dennis Jax has blood cancer and is unable to attend games at the Allianz Arena, but Ulreich has given the 17-year-old tickets for the clash at Hoffenheim’s WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar Arena to make his wish to see Bayern one more time a reality.

Ulreich, who has been deputising for the injured Manuel Neuer in recent matches, was only too pleased to ensure that Dennis would see his heroes in person.

"For me it is a natural thing, a matter of the heart to help with something like this,” the 28-year-old told Bild.

“I didn't think about it for one moment. A lot of things have to take a back seat."

Dennis was thrilled by Ulreich’s big-hearted gesture, saying "I don't know what to say. I am really looking forward to it. I hope that Bayern win - 4-0 would be the best result."
