Dortmund played a strong line-up in their midweek DFB Cup quarter-final win at third tier Sportfreunde Lotte, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was rested. The Gabon striker had a niggle in his adductor muscle, but the league's top scorer should return on Friday. Midfielder Julian Weigl sat out Tuesday's game as well, and the 21-year-old is no doubt feeling the effects of a long season in which he's been virtually an ever present in the starting eleven. Greek defender Sokratis is back in training after missing last weekend's defeat against Hertha Berlin, but Ousmane Dembele is suspended.

Visitors Ingolstadt have no major injury concerns, apart from long-term absentee Moritz Hartmann. Midfielder Sonny Kittel will be hoping to keep his place in the side after setting up a goal in his first start for the club in last weekend's 2-2 draw with Cologne.
