Defenders

Philipp Lahm (Bayern Munich)

Bayern's soon-to-be-retired captain worked his socks off in the 1-0 win at Mönchendgladbach, coming in the top three for touches (116) and passes completed (93).

Sokratis (Borussia Dortmund)

Uncompromising in the tackle - winning 16 of his attempted challenges - the Greece international made life very difficult indeed for Ingolstadt's valiant front line.

Kostas Stafylidis (Augsburg)

The Greek left-back scored the equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Freiburg to bring up his fourth goal of the season and was a constant threat from set-pieces.

Forwards

Mario Gomez (VfL Wolfsburg)

Scored for the third match running as the Wolves made it seven points from a possible nine under interim coach Andries Jonker with victory over bottom club Darmstadt.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund)

Executed to perfection, the Gabon star's 23rd Bundesliga goal of the season was all the separated Dortmund and Ingolstadt at the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK.

Anthony Modeste (Cologne)

The Frenchman helped himself to a hat-trick in Cologne's gripping 4-2 triumph against Hertha Berlin to take his tally to the campaign to 22.
