Borussia Dortmund were satisfied to have taken a point off Bundesliga leaders FC Bayern München after a compelling Der Klassiker ended 0-0 on Saturday evening.

Borussia Dortmund 0-0 FC Bayern München

Thomas Tuchel (Dortmund coach): "The situation remains unchanged. Regardless of what the table looks like I’m convinced we’ll continue to go our own way. I’m very happy with the way the team played. We defended very high and did so very well. Huge credit to the players.”

Erik Durm (Dortmund midfielder): “We can be happy with a point, especially after the second half. We had to do a lot of defending so a draw is OK. ”

Roman Bürki (Dortmund goalkeeper): “I’ve got mixed feelings really. I should’ve done better on a couple of occasions but I’m glad I made the reflex save against [Arturo] Vidal. We’ll analyse what we did wrong and learn from it. I’m glad we kept a clean sheet in the end. We showed we can compete on an eve-footing with them. I’m very proud of this team.”

Sven Bender (Dortmund midfielder): “We’ll take the point. Bayern’s lead has stayed as it was, but there are still enough games left to play. We hope to be able to build on what we did today. There’s still plenty of possibilities, but obviously Bayern are better placed at the moment. If they win all their games, then it’ll be difficult for us, but we just need to keep winning our matches. I think that’s the best way to put them under pressure."
