Frankfurt goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky is expected to go straight back into the Eagles' starting XI following suspension, but otherwise there are no fresh personnel developments for coach Niko Kovac. That will come as a relief to the 45-year-old, with key midfielders Marco Fabian and Szabolcs Huszti the chief absentees on what is already a lengthy injury list.

Darmstadt coach Torsten Frings is not expected to make wholesale changes for this derby, despite his side's heavy 6-1 defeat against 1. FC Köln last weekend. That should mean that USMNT striker Terrence Boyd retains his place up front, with Sidney Sam expected to provide a threat from the wings.
