VfL Wolfsburg coach Valerien Ismael will be without Daniel Didavi - a scorer of two goals in six Bundesliga outings this season - until the New Year due to a recurring knee complaint. Midfielder Marcel Schäfer and full-back Ricardo Rodriguez both sustained knee injuries in Saturday's 5-0 defeat at FC Bayern München and could be forced to sit out the rest of the calendar year.

Already dealing with something of an injury crisis, Eintracht Frankfurt tactician Niko Kovac must contemplate who will fill the void left by Timothy Chandler, with the USMNT defender set to serve a suspension following his red card against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim last weekend. With Yanni Regaesel and Guillermo Varela both injured, Omar Mascarell, Makoto Hasebe or even Jesus Vallejo may be considered for the role on the right flank for Die Adler.
