- Meier scored a hat-trick in Frankfurt's last meeting with Wolfsburg.
- Aubameyang has scored in both his last two appearances against Hoffenheim.
- Stindl with exceptional record against Augsburg.
My Matchday 14 recommendations were a bit of a mixed bag, weren’t they? Robert Lewandowski and Marco Reus scored three goals apiece, but Timothy Chandler was sent off against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
As the Official Fantasy Bundesliga "Expert" I am always striving for perfection, of course. Hopefully these five players will all do the business on Matchday 15!
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (16.45M, vs. TSG 1899 Hoffenheim)
No one player has stood out in recent meetings between these two teams, and with just one point separating them in the table I’m entering dangerous territory here. However, Aubameyang has netted in both his last two appearances against the Die Kraichgauer, who have not beaten Borussia Dortmund since the Gabon international joined the club in 2013. If you’re wondering which player to pick from Friday night’s Matchday 15 opener, go with Aubameyang!
Alexander Meier (12.3M, vs. VfL Wolfsburg)
Meier did everything but score in Eintracht Frankfurt’s goalless draw with Hoffenheim on Friday, but Eintracht’s "Football God" will fancy his chances of filling his boots against a Wolfsburg side that can’t seem to buy a victory at the moment. The veteran frontman has nine goals in his last ten appearances against the Wolves, including a second-half hat-trick in the last meeting between the two teams. Monsieur Ismael, you have been warned!
Sead Kolasinac (10.65M, vs. SC Freiburg)
Kolasinac would have earned me 20 points on Sunday evening (yes, he was my captain) had it not been for Stefan Kießling’s late winner at the Veltins-Arena. The Bosnia & Herzegovina international remains one of the most in-form players in the division, however, and has also helped FC Schalke 04 keep a clean sheet in their last two home encounters with Freiburg. With two goals and four assists this season, Kolasinac poses a threat at the other end of the pitch, too.
Yunus Malli (14.9M, vs. Hamburger SV)
The eighth highest-scoring midfielder in the game, I’m backing 1. FSV Mainz 05 attacker Malli to reach double figures for the sixth time this season against Hamburger SV. Yes, the Red Shorts have won their last two in the league, but the 24-year-old has also had a hand in six goals in his last six appearances against HSV (two goals, four assists). I’ve been thinking of bringing Malli into my team for several weeks now - and what better time to do so than on Matchday 15?
Lars Stindl (13.7M, vs. FC Augsburg)
Borussia Mönchengladbach travel to Augsburg on Sunday fresh from their 1-0 victory over Mainz - their first league win in nine. Die Fuggerstädter have been tough to beat on home soil, but in Stindl the Foals have a player who has never lost against Augsburg, winning six of his ten games against them. The former Hannover 96 captain has also registered six goals in those ten meetings with FCA. On second thoughts, perhaps I should sign Stindl as well…
