Hamburg appear to have finally found their rhythm in recent weeks. After draws against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and SV Werder Bremen, HSV finally got their first win of the season last time out, against SV Darmstadt 98. Emir Spahic is available again after recovering from a knee injury, but coach Markus Gisdol is likely to stick with Gideon Jung in central defence, and name the same starting XI for the fourth successive outing.

Augsburg coach Dirk Schuster has also kept faith with the same 11 players over the past three weeks, and his side have played out encouraging draws with some of the Bundesliga's high-flyers: Hertha Berlin, 1. FC Köln and Eintracht Frankfurt. It therefore seems likely that he will also field the same line-up for the fourth straight game. Jeffrey Gouweleeuw and Ja-Cheol Koo resumed full training after recovering from injury this week, but are expected to start on the bench.
