Philipp Lahm, Franck Ribery and Thomas Müller will return to the starting line-up for Bayern after starting on the bench in the UEFA Champions League win over Club Atletico de Madrid. Having employed a 4-3-3 formation in midweek, Carlo Ancelotti is expected to return to a 4-2-3-1 against Wolfsburg. Holger Badstuber is back on the bench after missing the 1. FSV Mainz 05 game with illness, but Mats Hummels is certain to be sidelined for this one due to a stomach infection. A decision will be made on the day of the game regarding Jerome Boateng, who is doubtful with a shoulder injury.

Wolfsburg coach Valerien Ismael will have to replace suspended pair Paul Seguin and Maximilian Arnold as the Wolves look to snap a three-game winless streak. Julian Draxler will not feature after being dropped from the Matchday squad. Otherwise Ismael has a full-strength squad at his disposal, with Ismail Azzaoui the only long-term absentee. They are likely to have their work cut out against Robert Lewandowski, who famously scored five goals in nine minutes in this fixture last season.
