Marco Reus has been ruled out of action for Borussia Dortmund, having initially been expected to make his first appearance of the season in Der Klassiker. Marcel Schmelzer is back in training, but coach Thomas Tuchel is also deprived of Sebastian Rode, Sven Bender, Erik Durm and Neven Subotic, while Portugal international Raphael Guerreiro is a major doubt.

Carlo Ancelotti confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Arjen Robben, Javi Martinez and Kingsley Coman will definitely miss out for Bayern. Manuel Neuer and Jerome Boateng skipped international duty due to injuries, but both should be fit to face BVB, while Arturo Vidal and Douglas Costa are doubtful.
