Bayern in China: Day 3

Shanghai - FC Bayern München moved on to the second stop of their pre-season tour of China on Sunday, departing the capital of Beijing and heading south to Shanghai.

However, the Bavarians suffered a slight hitch at the airport as their flight was delayed by three hours, but once they took off there were no further problems on the 90-minute journey to China's most populous city, where Manuel Neuer, Philipp Lahm and Co. will play Italian side FC Internazionale Milano on Tuesday.

Chanting in Chinese

It is perhaps no wonder Pep Guardiola's men beat Valencia CF so comfortably on Saturday, as Bayern revealed they had handed out print-outs of the words to the club songs in Chinese for the local fans!

Farewell to Beijing

Prior to leaving the capital, David Alaba, Xavi Alonso, Javier Martinez, Julian Green, Pierre-Michel Hojbjerg and Guardiola took part in a training session with a twist at the adidas Football Challenge. Check out their skills below!

To the airport

After the fun and games, the record Bundesliga champions regrouped and remained in high spirits despite the delay at Beijing airport...

And... action!

After touching down in Shanghai, Bayern wasted little time in making their presence felt in the metropolis. Following a brief stop-off at the hotel there was a press conference at the Shanghai Stadium with the ever-entertaining Thomas Müller and Guardiola, who said that Manuel Neuer and Mario Götze were likely to play in the friendly against Inter, but that Javi Martinez "needs more time" to recover from a knock to his knee.

Ambassador Beckenbauer

Club legend and World Cup winner Franz Beckenbauer is also on the tour and while he may not be able to play like he used to, he is still a popular figure across the globe - as proven by the rousing reception he was given at a local youth football tournament:

On to the training pitch

Once the media duties had been fulfilled, Guardiola put his charges through their paces as they continue to hone their fitness and touch ahead of the new Bundesliga season.
