Following the elimination of VfL Wolfsburg in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League and Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Europa League, DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga will not be making any changes to the fixtures for the 32nd and 33rd Bundesliga match day.

Adjustments had particularly been considered in the event that the two teams qualified for the semifinals to give Borussia Dortmund more time for regeneration after the Europa League Thursday matches.

Accordingly, the matchday overview previously published continues to apply. Under this schedule, the Bundesliga match pitting SV Werder Bremen against VfB Stuttgart will be taking place on Monday (2 May, at 8:15 pm). This Monday match had been scheduled out of respect for the police authorities’ request to avoid any Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 fixtures on the 1 May public holiday (Sunday) as the police will already be kept very busy with Labour Day demonstrations and rallies.

Due to this special situation on 1 May, this match day will differ from the usual weekend scheme for Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2. One fixture for the 32nd Bundesliga match day will be held on Friday (29 April), while seven will be taking place on Saturday (30 April) and the final one on Monday. Six Bundesliga 2 matches have been scheduled for Friday, two for Saturday and one for Monday (6:30 pm).

As usual at the end of the season, the 33rd and 34th match day will take place simultaneously. In this case of Bundesliga this will be a Saturday (7 and 14 May at 3:30 pm on both days) and in the case of Bundesliga 2 a Sunday (8 and 15 May, 3:30 pm on both days).
