Following a further increase in stadium visitors, Bundesliga remains the football league with the world's largest number of spectators.

At the end of the previous season, the 18 professional clubs had already achieved the second highest average spectator number in history. However, with an average of 42,344 spectators per match, the figure for the previous year (42,155) has been exceeded again marginally. A total of 6,478,680 fans attended the 153 Bundesliga matches in the first half of the season.
