Munich - FC Bayern München winger Arjen Robben has been ruled out for four weeks with a groin injury.

Bitter blow for Bayern

The 31-year-old was substituted after half an hour of the Netherlands' 1-0 defeat to Iceland on Thursday, which leaves the Oranje's hopes of qualifying for UEFA EURO 2016 hanging by a thread.

Further tests conducted by FC Bayern München club doctor Volker Braun on Friday confirmed that Robben had suffered an injury to the adductor muscle in his left leg, ruling him out for the rest of the month.

Robben has featured in all five of FC Bayern's competitive matches so far this season, scoring twice in the process.
