Cologne - Borussia Mönchengladbach will play fellow UEFA Champions League participants FC Porto in a pre-season friendly on 24 July.

The Foals confirmed the date of the clash with the Portuguese giants on their Twitter account on Monday afternoon. The match will take place at the Borussia-Park and kick off at 19:00 CET.

Busy summer schedule

Porto finished runners-up to SL Benfica in the Primeira Liga last term, guaranteeing their place in the group stages of Europe’s premier club competition for the 19th time.

Gladbach, who will compete at Europe’s top table for the first time since the 1977/78 campaign after finishing third in the Bundesliga, are also due to take on TuS Koblenz, Swansea City FC, Stade Rennais FC and R. Standard de Liege in July, before rounding off their pre-season schedule at Newcastle United FC on 1 August.
