Ingolstadt - Ahead of their first ever season in the top flight, second division champions FC Ingolstadt 04 made their Bundesliga Media Days debut on Friday.

As well as presenting the club's new signings, the event is also used to take official photographs and produce exclusive media content for use throughout the upcoming campaign.

bundesliga.com rounds up the highlights…

Five things from the Schanzer's Media Day:

1. Cool and collected into the Bundesliga adventure

The anticipation of their debut season in the Bundesliga is growing by the second at FC Ingolstadt. Even for coach Ralph Hasenhüttl, this is uncharted water, but in spite of the full focus on the challenges ahead, there is still plenty of room for a bit of fun and games. "If we're as good at playing as we are at making jokes, then we're going to win the league," said the FCI coach. Lukas Hinterseer is also desperate for the season to get started. "I'm looking forward to 34 cool, relaxed matches," said the forward, who scored nine goals in Bundesliga 2 last season.

3. Pascal Groß to the fore

Midfield playmaker Pascal Groß is one of FC Ingolstadt's biggest names, and with 23 scoring points (seven goals, 16 assists), he made a considerable contribution to the Bavarian club's promotion to the top flight. "I want to lead the way and pull the team along with my crazy, positive style," he said, revealing his plans to be a lead figure also in the Bundesliga this season.

4. Vibrant team spirit

Romain Bregerie, Elias Kachunga, Örjan Nyland and Markus Suttner have all joined the promoted outfit this summer and Hasenhüttl believes they've all been made to feel right at home. "The team are making it easy for the newcomers to blend in," he said. That was evident during the 'Corner Kings' exercise when those who were not involved still cheered on their team-mates.

5. Multi-tasking mascot

Even club mascot 'Schanzi' got fully immersed at the Media Day, enjoying his moment in the spotlight. He will hope to show off plenty of his special celebration moves this season at the Audi Sportpark having shown his array of talents during filming.
