Special game

SV Werder Bremen beat SV Wilhelmshaven 7-0 yesterday and, yes, I know we've heard it before, but it was not the result that mattered. Just ask Bremen's captain for the day...

On the spot

Even Gladbach coach Lucien Favre got involved in this practice penalty shoot-out...

'Raring to go'

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is not the only Bundesliga star getting itchy feet (see below). Fabian Johnson cannot wait to hear that first whistle either...

Making an impression

Anthony Ujah has been showing his full repertoire in training for Werder Bremen...

We can't wait any longer!

Four to the fore

There are four newcomers to Werder Bremen training this afternoon...

Alaba on the fast track

Is anyone else noticing that David Alaba seems to be favouring his filters more often nowadays? Well we can forgive him on this occasion given how good this photo came out. Imagine Vin Diesel and Alaba side by side. A fearsome duo!

Choppy waters

As if they weren't rubbing it in already, Hannover 96 have now been kind enough to share a clip of them rafting in the summer sun.

Proud hosts

Excitement's building ahead of this weekend's Colonia Cup involving hosts 1. FC Köln, FC Porto, Stoke City FC and Valencia CF...

Junuzovic in the dentist's chair

Invasive surgery for SV Werder Bremen's Zlatko Junuzovic, but nothing the Green-Whites faithful need to worry about - unless it's the secret to his dead-ball expertise...

Augsburg's corner kings

Simple, but effective from Augsburg duo Tobias Werner and Ragnar Klavan.

Translation: Werner corner! Klavan goal!

Head tennis

Another great piece of footage from the Gladbach training camp. Yann Sommer just had to spoil the fun...

Leader of men

It comes as no surprise to learn that World Cup winner Benedikt Höwedes will once again wear the captain's armband at FC Schalke 04.

Star-studded check-in

Let's hope no one forgets their passport...

Feet on the ground

BVB CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke tells journalists at Dortmund Airport that "the atmosphere's good, but that's no reason for us to get carried away."

Destination Wolfsberg

Borussia Dortmund fly to Klagenfurt, Austria, later today. From there, it'll take around hour to get to Wolfsberger AC's Lavanttal-Arena, the venue for tomorrow's UEFA Europa League third-round qualifying first leg.

Translation: Waiting for the lads

Role reversal

It would be interesting to find out what Borussia Mönchengladbach's keepers think of life on the other side of the ball.

Julian's best wishes

"Dear Uchida-san, I wish you a quick recovery and hope that you'll come back fully recovered to us in Schalke very soon. We miss you here my friend! Get well soon!"

Reds down the river

Brooks back in action

Fresh from his exploits with the US Men's National Team at the Gold Cup 2015, Hertha Berlin were pleased to have towering centre-back John Anthony Brooks back amongst it on the training pitch.

Augsburg 'having fun'

Were it not for a poor pass from Caiuby at the end, this short passing exercise would have been a thing of beauty as FC Augsburg get their morning session underway.

Laid back Lillies

Newly-promoted SV Darmstadt 98 are taking things a little easier this morning. "A relaxed start to Wednesday's session. The ball is rolling in a 6-on-2 exercise."

Home comforts

1. FC Köln are taking part in their first training session since returning from Kitzbühl, Austria. The hard work doesn't stop!

All smiles in Wolves' camp

VfL Wolfsburg appear to be in good spirits ahead of the Supercup 2015 clash with FC Bayern München on Saturday. The question is will they still be smiling afterwards?

Heading home from Norway

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim have had a grand old time in Norway as they continue to build towards the start of the 2015/16 campaign, but the trip north comes to an end today with the side due to fly back to Sinsheim. Centre-back Ermin Bicakcic looks like he'd like to extend his stay.

Levante lurking for Leverkusen
